Mr. Purushottam Karad is the Deputy Commissioner of Police for Navi Mumbai Police's Zone I. He put the premise of QR code scanning parking slots with tickets into practice with the sole intent of reducing traffic difficulties during the IPL season. The civic organization was tasked with arranging approximately 5,000 temporary parking places near the stadium for the fans who came to the Dr. DY Patil Stadium to attend the cricket matches.

Mr. Karad and the Mumbai Police had created precise, time-bound security arrangements considering the transit time to and from each stadium from the hotels where the players were boarded. Despite all the unusual circumstances and at times like a pandemic where controlling such a large throng could have been difficult, Mr. Karad and his team's unwavering dedication to protecting and serving the people was the sole element that allowed them to control the traffic with such ease.
